Near Nimes, the Romans constructed this bridge
as part of an aqueduct in the 1st century
- this top level used to transport water
The bridge has 3 levels, the bottom (6 arches) used as a roadand the top (35 arches remaining) an aqueduct

One can only guess how old this tree is.
