May-Castle Schloss Neuschwanstein

The fairy tale castle built by King Ludwig from 1869 to 1886,
nestled in the Bavarian Alps just north of Austria.Although hazy the day we were there, the castle's location was magical.
View of Neuschwanstein, taken from the Hohenschwangau,
where Ludwig spent most of his life.
Although built to look medieval, the castle's plumbing was very
modern for its time, having both flush toilets and hot running water
